Solo Camping Ladies Australia was born from a personal journey of healing, resilience, and rediscovery. After losing her mum, our founder Usher set off on a solo road trip across Australia, finding comfort in the open road and unexpected friendships with other women who shared a love of camping and adventure.
Along the way, she discovered how powerful connection, friendship, and shared experiences could be. When Usher met Mools through work, an unexpected bond was formed — both having lost their mums in the same year, they connected through their shared grief and the understanding that comes from walking a similar journey. Their friendship grew into a sisterhood built on compassion, resilience, and a shared passion for camping, exploring Australia, and bringing women together.
Together, they created a welcoming and supportive space where women could connect, build confidence, share experiences, and know they were never alone on their journey. What began as a small Facebook group has grown into one of Australia's largest women’s camping community, bringing together thousands of women from across the country.
Today, SCLA continues to inspire women to explore Australia with confidence while building friendships, supporting local businesses, and creating opportunities to give back through the We Care More Foundation Ltd.
